It’s Eddie Van Halen’s Birthday!

Eddie Van Halen turns 60 today. There was a time where many people, including himself, didn't think he'd make it this long, but he did!   Eddie's history of health problems and substance abuse problems is pretty extensive.

He was apparently pretty difficult to work with, or be around, if you ask David Lee Roth, Sammy Hagar,  Michael Anthony, and maybe even Valerie Bertinelli. But, he sure can play the living daylights out of a guitar.

I'm glad Gene Simmons didn't invite Eddie to join Kiss. We'd have missed out on five great albums with Sammy!  So to one of the top 10 guitarists on EVERY guitar greats list, Happy Birthday Edward Lodewijk Van Halen!
