A new study looked at which states are the best for children and then ranked them in several categories. Each state's overall rank is based on economy, education, health care, and family/community data.

The 10 worst states are:

1. Mississppi
2. New Mexico
3. Louisiana
4. Nevada
5. Arizona

7. Alabama
8. West Virginia
9. Georgia
10. Texas
