Indonesian president pays $800 for Master of Puppets Box Set
I don't claim to know anything about politics. Nor am I interested in learning. I assume there's protocol and red tape and very little work actually getting done.
Safe assumption, I'd say.
You'd think a leader giving another leader a present wouldn't be that big of a deal. But apparently, it could be misconstrued as a conflict of interest. Maybe the giver would expect special treatment from the getter. (he's probably not even called the "getter", that's how little I pay attention to politics.
But to avoid conflicts, the president of Indonesia paid for his gift...which happens to be the box set of Metallica's Master of Puppets.
He paid $800 for it...but it only costs $150 on Amazon. Maybe THAT is where the corruption lies?
