Illinois Teen Charged With Attempted Murder After Joyride in Stolen Bulldozer

18-year-old Austin White of Bradley, Illinois lead police on a late-night chase after he stole a bulldozer from a construction site.

White took the heavy machinery on a joyride down the streets of Kankakee when an officer intervened. The dozer didn't stop and backed over the top of the squad car, nearly crushing the officer inside.

Police pursued the vehicle for over twelve city blocks before finally catching up to it on foot. Four miles from the construction site, they finally wrestled the teen from the bulldozer.

White was charged with six felony charges including attempted murder.
