3 years ago today, Bruce Springsteen did a "benefit" show at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ to "benefit" Boston College, where his son was attending.  Now he had been doing these benefit shows there for a while, so that fact alone raises no questions.  But let's think about the rest of this for a second...

Why does Boston College, a wealthy and private Catholic School with one of the highest tuition rates in the country at $44,000-plus per year, need the proceeds from a show at a venue 250 miles away in New Jersey ... which if at capacity only holds about 750 people ?   Even if it was $500 a ticket, they weren't going to receive THAT large of a check from Bruce ... so does it make you wonder what's really going on here?   I'm going with the rumor that his son Evan got in some pretty big trouble, and this was one way that dad could keep him from expulsion.

Oh yeah, and in attendance were Gov. Christie from NJ, Newsman Brian Williams, and actor Tim Robbins ....  hope they had big cans of "Shut the ---- Up" on sale that night !!
