Happy Birthday Reg !

It's a slow day for rock history, so about the only thing to take note of today is Elton John's 68th birthday.  Reginald has been a tremendous contributor to the world of POP music, but just a light contributor to our "Classic Rock" world with about 3 or 4 songs at best.

There are lots of interesting facts about his life... he's Sean Lennon's godfather, he played at one of Rush Limbaugh's birthday parties, Vladimir Putin used him as evidence that gay people are welcome in Russia. Even Bill Clinton introduced one of his shows at Madison Square Garden (also swearing he "did not have sex with that man...").  And that's just the beginning of a long list.

He's an interesting guy with an interesting past... so I'll salute you Elton John fans today on his birthday!
