A group in Colorado is collecting signatures for a measure that would make it illegal for kids under the age of 13 to own a cell phone.

Tim Farnum is fronting the charge and says, “Eventually kids are going to get phones and join the world, and I think we all know that, but little children, there’s just no good that comes from that."

The proposal from Parents Against Underage Smartphones (PAUS) would ban the sale of smartphones to children under the age of 13-years-old.

The group has until November 2018 to gather 300,000 signatures.
