River Bandits return to Modern Woodmen Park on May 27 for four games against Peoria
 
DAVENPORT, Iowa – The Quad Cities River Bandits return home to Modern Woodmen Park on Friday, May 27 for a jam-packed four-game homestand against the Peoria Chiefs. Fans can see an awesome fireworks display, receive a Carlos Martinez bobblehead, enjoy a Sunday Funday, and take in a Memorial Day baseball game during the home series.
 
The series kicks off on Friday, May 27 with a 7:00 p.m. CT first pitch. It’s Book Buddies Night and Military Appreciation Night at Modern Woodmen Park. Students who participated in the River Bandits’ Book Buddies reading program will march around the warning track in a pregame parade. Fans can stay after the game for a Smart Toyota of Quad Cities Fireworks show!
 
The River Bandits and Chiefs get going at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 28. Fans should be sure to arrive to the ballpark early for Saturday’s game, as the first 1,500 fans will receive a Carlos Martinez Bobblehead presented by Mediacom. The bobblehead commemorates the current St. Louis Cardinal who pitched for the River Bandits in 2011. The giveaway is the first of eight bobbleheads fans can receive during the 2016 season.
 
Sunday Funday starts early with a 1:15 p.m. day game on May 29 against Peoria at Modern Woodmen Park. The Bandits will hold a mega Fitbit giveaway, with nine lucky fans winning Fitbits. Come early for pregame autographs from the entire River Bandits team before the game. The puppy is also welcome at Modern Woodmen Park for a Bark in the Park. Fans can bring their four-legged friends to every Sunday home game. Dogs can sit on the berm and enjoy the contest. Then, after the final out, the River Bandits welcome all kids on to the field for post-game Kids Run the Bases, Presented by Prairie Farms.
 
The homestand wraps up on Monday, May 30 with a Memorial Day baseball game. First pitch is scheduled for 5:15 p.m. and the River Bandits welcome all active and retired military personnel to Modern Woodmen Park. All active military, reservists, guardsmen and veterans get in for free with proper identification.
