Former NFL Star Aaron Hernandez Commits Suicide in Prison

Aaron Hernandez, former NFL star who was serving life in prison for murder, committed suicide early this morning in his cell.

Corrections officers discovered Hernandez had hanged himself, lifesaving techniques were used but he was pronounced dead at 4:07 am.

Officials say he was in a single cell and had used a bed sheet to kill himself. He had also attempted to jam the door to his cell in the general population unit.
