Florida Man Killed After Asking if Bulletproof Vest Works

Police in Tampa, Florida say that Joaquin Mendez was fatally shot by his cousin after asking if a bulletproof vest still worked.

Apparently the 23-year-old "wondered aloud whether it still worked" and his cousin, 24-year-old Alexandro Garibaldi, said, "Let's see." Garibaldi then pulled out a gun and shot him in the chest.

Mendez was taken to a local hospital where he died. Garibaldi is being held on a manslaughter charge without bail.
