Flashback Friday: Our First Quad City Billboard and the Birth of “The Dwyer & Michaels Morning Show”
This is most likely from Fall 1990, right after we started at the X. We came from Peoria where we were "The Rock and Roll Morning Show"--but the "X" wanted us to have a little more edge...
"The Rude Awakening" was born. That lasted until like January of '91 when all of a sudden the management decided that they wanted us to appeal to older adults and more females.
So Rude boys were gone, and 'The Dwyer and Michael's Morning Show' was born. Most folks wouldn't remember this billboard because they were too busy hating us for not being Ian Case, but it's a great reminder to me of how many steps Michaels and I have taken on this long journey, seasoned with a little hard work and a lot of luck along the way.
