The Cedar Rapids Police Department are looking for people who participated in a flash mob that robbed and tore apart a Casey's General Store.

Surveillance footage shows a large group of people swarm the convenience store around 10:30 P.M. on July 3rd. They are then seen grabbing items from the shelves and rushing back out the doors. The entire mob was in and out in 90 seconds.

“It’s an incredibly overwhelming experience for that clerk,” said Sgt. Paul Parizek of the Des Moines Police Department. “You really can’t prepare ahead of time for 25 to 30 people storming your place.”

“If you happen to be a witness, just do what you can to find a safe spot. If you have to, lock yourself in the bathroom. If you have a cellphone with you, give police a call.”
