80-year-old Patrick Jiron and his 83-year-old wife Barbara were driving across the country from their home in Clearlake Oaks, California to Vermont when they got pulled over in Nebraska for failing to use their turn signal.

Sheriff's deputies smelled a strong odor of marijuana as soon as they got to the car. In the pickup topper they found boxes and boxes of weed.

"They said the marijuana was for Christmas presents," said Lt. Paul Vrbka who estimated the street value to be around $336,000.

The couple received felony suspicion of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and no drug tax stamp charges just in time for the holidays.
