Des Moines Man Facing Assault Charges For Throwing Frozen Brats

Well this is certainly a mediocre way to ring in the 2016 grilling season. There's a 44-year-old guy in Des Moines who's been living at home with his dad and his dad's 50-year-old girlfriend.

She finally kicked him out of the house on Thursday, and as he was leaving, she checked the fridge for any food he left behind. She found a package of frozen bratwurst in the freezer and threw them into the yard.

That set him off, because he picked up the brats and threw them at her as she was walking away. They hit her in the back of the head and knocked her out.

She wound up needing staples to close the gash in her head, and now there's a warrant out for his arrest on assault charges.
