Davenport Radio Control Society Hosts Fly In This Weekend
If you’ve ever thought about flying an RC plane or you just wanna see some incredible planes flown by amazing pilots, head out to the annual Fun Scale Fly In this Saturday.
Davenport Radio Control Society will be hosting their annual Fly In June 17th from 10 AM to 3 PM at Frye Memorial Field located on Seven Cities Sod Farm. This might be as close as we get to an air show in the Quad Cities.
In addition to aerobatic planes, there will be models representing all the major military conflicts from modern turbine powered jets back through the dawn of aviation shortly before WWI.
Spectators are admitted FREE! Special spectator viewing area lets the public get up close to both static and flying displays. Food will be available on site provided by Johnny's Meat market.
Bring your chairs and family and make a day of it!
To get to the flying site, take highway 130 past Farm & Fleet, turn left at 210th Street. Go straight past the stop sign at Wisconsin Avenue to 120th Avenue, turn right and go about a half mile to the field on the right.
