Damn this series. The Giants proved to again be able to rise to the occasion and defend a must-win position. They have the longest streak of these types of wins in recent history. There are two reasons this streak ends tonight.

The biggest reason is the Cubs. They have routinely put double-digit wins on teams great and small this year, and so far have been held like a pressure cooker by the stingy Giants pitching.

The second is that, as a Cardinal fan, I've seen just these types of streaks (Elimination game wins, 9th inning comebacks) finally crumble around a team.

Tonight ends the Cubs run drought, and the Giants miraculous ride ride of elimination-game wins. It should start by the 3rd for the Cubs, and early into the bullpen Cubs will put 10, yes I said 10 on the Giants tonight. Should be enough for them to win this game, and series.
