Colorado law enforcement are used to getting calls regarding wildlife, but this is probably a first for any of them.

Sheriff's deputies in Colorado's Jefferson County responded to a bear that had made it's way into a car and locked itself in. 17-year-old Annie Bruecker is the owner of the 2004 Subaru which she admits she forgot to lock.

"My mom screamed from downstairs and I thought that I was in trouble," said Bruecker. "She said Annie there’s a bear in your car."

Deputies were able to free the animal by opening the back hatch of the car but the insides of the vehicle were already destroyed.
