We spoke with Ted Schlipp, he's the former coach for the Quad City Express, the team that Scott Darling started on in the Quad Cities as a teenager before working his way up to the NHL.

Ted called it when Darling was just a teen: "The sky is the limit to be honest with this kid; he is one of the handful of kids in this league that I say that can play in Division I or make it to NHL eventually. I'm not saying he will, but he has that kind of potential at this age. It's a long road, though."
