The U.S. Navy Blue Angels Flight Team brings style to the hard work and precision flying required by our nation's military.

Which is why the news from Smyrna, Tennessee that one of the Angel's pilots died in a crash is so devastating. The pilots were practicing for a show this weekend when one of the F/18's crashed and exploded, killing pilot U.S. Marine Capt. Jeff Kuss.

I've had the honor of speaking with pilots, crew and support staff of this inspiring group, and I know tonight they are crushed to lose a brother. I also know that whatever problems this pilot experienced, mechanical or otherwise--his main priority was saving the lives of innocents on the ground. It's part of their training, and the assumed risk they all know is out there.

We lost a great pilot today. My prayers to his family and his unit. I've included the link if you'd like to read more about this precision group of proud Americans.
