I love the great outdoors. When it's time to choose a place to eat or enjoy a beverage I like a nice view of the Mississippi River.

Here are some Quad City area spots where you can enjoy the river while noshing or sipping a beverage:

Steventon's, LeClaire, Iowa-Fantastic view indoors or out. This place has a great patio complete with intimate lighting and a fire. Order anything flamed like cheese or Bananas Foster.

Blue Iguana, LeClaire- There's outdoor seating at the front and back of this Mexican cantina. Sit out back on the porch while enjoying a margarita and their steak nachos.

129, LeClaire-This intimate bar is just next door to the Blue Iguana. They offer a full bar, but specialize in wine. They don't have a kitchen, but you can get delicious apps from The Faithful Pilot close by. Get there early. The deck only has a few tables.

Mississippi River Distilling Company, LeClaire-Huge patio where you can enjoy a cocktail and listen to music. MRDC has something going on nearly every weekend and many times the event includes food.

Green Tree Brewery, LeClaire-Another huge patio with a roof if the sun gets to be too much. There's a healthy selection of beer brewed on-site and you can order food from any nearby restaurant to eat there.

Driftwood, Davenport-Full service restaurant with plenty of outdoor seating. Enjoy a beverage and apps outside. Go early and watch the sunset over downtown Davenport.

Tuggers, Port Byron, IL-You're not actually outside, but the view is spectacular. There are fans, a roof and a half wall of glass so your view isn't spoiled. If the sun gets too hot, waitstaff pulls down the blinds. Get the burger and signature cocktails.

I'll see you near the river. Cheers!
