Bat Dogs Just Make Sense
Old and tired: Baseball teams using bat boys. New and exciting: Baseball teams using bat dogs.
The ACC Tournament took place in Greensboro, N.C. this past week. Georgia Tech defeated Maryland in Sunday's final. But more importantly, throughout the slate of games, a dog was used to retrieve the bats from the home plate area.
Miss Lou Lou Gehrig is normally a bat dog for the Greensboro Grasshoppers, a Marlins' Class A affiliate, but she volunteered her services for this special occasion.
