And Festival Season Begins!

What a great weekend of Rods and Rides!  Rally on the River was the biggest it's been in years, and all the cars cruising through, bottlenecking Bettendorf for a large part of Thursday and Friday with the Hot Rod Power Tour really brought home that Summer is here!

The Rock Island County Fair hits this week, and festivals will dart the river fronts of all the Quad Cities in the coming months, in addition to the Mississippi Valley Fair in August.  I'm looking forward to eating most of my meals out of a trailer, on a stick, and deep fried.

All the small town festivals are in gear as well...from Blue Grass to Aledo, parades and midways will light up the days and nights weekend after weekend.  It's the best part of living in the Midwest--nobody takes outdoor weather for granted.  Get out and see how close the fun can be to your own backyard.
