Air Conditioned Backpacks Are Finally a Reality

Pardon the pun, but this invention is pretty cool. With the Quad Cities already seeing temperatures in the high 70s, I could use an air conditioned backpack.

Normally when it's hot as hell out and you're carrying a bag strapped to your back, it will stick to you and keep your sweat from evaporated. Wet and sticky is no way to go through the summer my friends.

Enter the Japan Trend Shop and their Kucho Air-Conditioned Backpack Cooling Pack. This mouthful isn't actually a backpack, but a battery-powered fan that straps between you and your pack.

The fan pushes air through vents in the cooling pack and increases the evaporation of your sweat. The batteries should last about four hours on average.
