Actor Makes Money as a “People Walker”

Budding actors have to supplement their income somehow while waiting for their acting careers to take off. One guy decided to create his own job, a people walker.

At first Chuck McCarthy thought that being a dog walker would be a cool job. Then he realized, "I didn't want to pick up dog poop, and that's kind of what you're getting paid for, really, for dog walking."

Then he thought, why not take dogs out of the picture and just walk people around. "I charge $7 a mile, and there are no leashes," he said. "Walking is great exercise."

Chuck posted signs around town and instantly got calls from people who wanted him to walk them.
