When the Lehigh County Humane Society were called to a home to rescue some dogs, they weren't prepared for what greeted them: 71 beagles.

Their response came from a noise complaint and a report of 25 dogs in terrible conditions. They instead found the dozens of dogs crammed wall-to-wall in the house. The beagles ranged from young to old and many were in poor health.

Officials expect that the owner will face animal cruelty charges and believes they inherited the dogs when the original owner passed away.

The shelter is now packed with the pooches and is feeling the strain of getting them all healthy again. A video was posted on the Humane Society's Facebook page showing their sad little faces.
