2017 Veterans’ Conference is March 1st!

Greetings All!

Here’s your WARNO folks, 1 March, 1200, St. Ambrose University is the 2017 Eastern Iowa/Western Illinois Veterans’ Conference!  This year’s theme is:  “Seek the Middle Ground:  Bridging the Divide from Military to Civilian.”  Here’s a link to more information about the conference.

The keynote speaker is Brad Synder.  Brad is Naval Academy graduate and EOD Veteran who was blinded in combat.  Rather than let this devastating injury define him, he chose instead to seek out a new challenge.  He became a swimmer.  Here is a summary of his accomplishments:

“Brad represented Team USA again in the 2016 Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, breaking his previous single-games record by winning three Gold Medals, and one Silver Medal while breaking a 30 year-old world record in the 100M freestyle. Not surprisingly, in December Snyder was named one of Team USA’s Top 16 Men of 2016 as he was voted Male Athlete of the Paralympic Games at the Team USA Awards”

We hope you can attend as we all seek to claim the middle ground.  By working together, the divided between military and civilian will be bridged!

Best regards,
