Van Halen's second album with Sammy Hagar "OU812" hit number One this week in '88 making it two number ones in a row for the Van Hagar team.  At this point, it looked like the Sammy-era was gonna kill the David Lee-era for the rest of time!

But not so fast... the first six albums with Diamond Dave have reigned supreme and Sammy got bounced after four studio albums and a live album.  Forget about Van Halen "3" - basically a waste of time, and the Jury's still out on "Tokyo Dome Live."

But for now, the top honors for Van Halen frontmen go to Dave... in spite of the difference in talent!  Still considering, I think today's Punch-Out should give a nod to OU812 ... DOU2?
